Originally from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Mark Weaver is a 1998 graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California earning a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Design. While attending Art Center, Mark served an internship at Ford Motor Company’s Advanced Concept Studio in Dearborn, Michigan and additionally participated in sponsored design projects with Volkswagen, Kia, Renault, Universal Studios and N.A.S.A.’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. As a result of the N.A.S.A.–J.P.L. project, Mark was awarded the Silver Medal for Design Excellence in Industrial Design from the Industrial Designers Society of America, sponsored by Businessweek Magazine. Prior to attending Art Center, Mark worked as a designer, fabricator and technical liaison for several defense contractors, specializing in composite aircraft construction.

After graduation from Art Center, Mark joined Lear Corporation in Southfield, Michigan as an Industrial Designer and still serves Lear today as a Senior Industrial Designer. In this role, Mark works closely with O.E.M. design studios around the globe helping them to bring their automotive interior designs from raw concept to production-ready, a role he enjoys immensely. Additionally, Mark serves as an adjunct professor at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, teaching automotive design and also participates in community outreach via the Art Road charity as well as the Lear Academic Youth Academy. This website reflects his desire to explore art and design on a more personal level and we thank you for visiting with us here at Weaverville Studios..
